Sen. Marco Rubio’s Interview On The Daily Show (VIDEO)

[New York, NY] On Monday, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) stopped by The Daily Show With Jon Stewart to promote his new book, An American Son, which was released June 19. Sunshine Slate previously reported on Rubio’s book here.

It turned out to be one of the longest – if not the longest – interviews in the show’s history featuring two guys that “live in a different universe,” according to Stewart.

Stewart was practically pulling his hair out as he tried to get Rubio to see that the GOP’s one-track mind was actually hindering economic growth. Rubio sounded a bit like a broken record by sticking to his conservative ideology instead of actually having a deep conversation.

He kept talking about compromise, but wouldn’t make any.

Surprisingly, they didn’t talk about the Vice Presidency, for which Rubio has long been considered a 2012 candidate by rank-and-file Republicans.

But we’ll let you watch and be the judge. Make your comments below.
