The Globally Inspired Menu Highlights Different Culinary Flavors Found In Exotic Locales

Pearl Restaurant & Champagne Lounge, Jack & Lucia Penrod’s 8,000-square-foot orange and white Euro–chic resto-lounge on the second floor of Nikki Beach in Miami Beach has reopened with a new oceanfront terrace and ceviche bar.
The Pearl first opened in 1999 and closed its doors back in 2005. But now the beloved hot spot is back in business.
Staying true to the original, the Pearl offers, “upscale dining in a sexy lounge setting,” according to the website. The global menu by Executive Chef Sylvain Noel (previously from the Wall House, a Relais & Chateaux luxury property in Saint Barts) spans European, Middle Eastern, Latin American, Asian and American cuisines.
The menu is broken up into different world regions, each offering unique appetizers and sides to go along with the main dishes. “New World” serves up The Chefs Choice of Flame Grilled “Akaushi” Upper Prime Cuts in various sizes and styles available with a side of “Fontina” and White Truffle Oil Infused Mac n’Cheese, among others.
“Latin” offerings include Pan Seared Grouper and “Moqueca Brazileira,” which is lobster and Amazonian Paiche in a coconut pepper sauce infused with cilantro served with aioli and crispy plantain. “Asia” invites diners to try a “Giant” Shrimp Spring Roll appetizer before diving into “Miso” Marinated Black Cod.
“Europe” includes Duck à l’ Orange as well as pasta dishes and a Goat Cheese Red Beet Bruschettan appetizer. “Middle East” introduces Organic Mixed Baby Vegetable Tagine accompanied by Moroccan couscous, house made harissa and finished with cumin and rosemary “fume.”
There’s also an abundance of items on the “Ceviche” list including seafood exotics such as octopus and fresh rockfish.
In addition to a thoughtfully prepared world menu by a team of internationally trained chefs, Pearl also offers an eclectic selection of leading wines, Champagnes and a vast array of caviar choices.
Starting at 11 p.m., the restaurant will turn into a lounge with music and cocktails. Click here for the complete dinner menu.
