Miami Welcomes 15th Annual Brazilian Film Festival

[Miami, FL] This year’s line-up for the annual Brazilian Film Festival (BFF) has been announced. The 15th year of the nine-day event will feature 40 films set in Brazil, Uruguay and Cuba at two participating venues: Miami Beach Cinematheque and Colony Theatre.

Running Aug. 19-27, the BFF is the largest annual showcase Portuguese-language films in the United States.

On tap will be the stateside premier of VIPs, the award-winning caper film starring Wagner Moura, Brazil’s No. 1 movie star. The film produced by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Fernando Meirelles.

Two of Brazil’s other smash hits will also be on display – Trap.com and Take It Easy – in addition to documentaries and short films.

“The Brazilian film industry is coming of age,” explains Brazilian Film Festival co-founder Viviane Spinelli. “And our films, our directors and our stars are being embraced by audiences around the world.”

The event is produced by the Inffinito Foundation of Miami.
